Pasticceria Ticci, is an excellent pasticceria with a wide range
of local products and deluxe "semifreddi" and gateaux.
BUONCONVENTO:
Home made ice creams and delicious cakes and 'semifreddi' at Pasticceria
900 and Pasticceria La Piazzetta; Artelier: decorative objects,
bijoux, fashion; Il Soffione: herborist and health shop.

a better selection). Opening hours: 8.30am - 1.00 pm and (3.30pm
Buonconvento) 5.30pm - 8.00pm.
BUTCHERS:
Macelleria Ricci in Trequanda, next to Il Paradiso. Also has excellent
wines, cheeses, homemade jams. Open Wednesday morning, all day
Thursday / Friday / Saturday and Sunday mornings from mid July
through mid September. Macelleria Orlandi in Buonconvento, closed
on Sundays, excellent meat and hams.

Made fresh at Vergelle to the right up above the road to Torrenieri,
or at the Spereta farmhouse. If you like goats cheese watch out
for Santa Margherita cheeses in good delicatessen, or at the bar
at L'Antica Querciolaia (Rapolano Terme)

Markets
open approximately 7.30am and continue until 1.00pm. The Sinalunga
market has a very good fresh fish van and wide selection of fruit
and vegetables. The Siena market is obviously the largest, and
has a large selection of household goods, clothes, etc but with
little or no food. At Sinalunga there is also a shopping mall
complex, which although is closed on Monday mornings, has continuous,
opening hours all other days of the week (except Sunday). Here,
there is a Coop supermarket which is very well stocked, also with
fresh fish. It is called CENTRO GELSI. Entering Sinalunga follow
signs for Florence / Rome (green signs), and watch out for signs
for GELSI.
